Telehealth

A telehealth visit occurs between the patient and the provider using both audio and video capabilities. During the visit, you can discuss your symptoms and receive the specialty or primary care you need.

Butler/Clarion Area:

For patients in the Butler/Clarion area, telehealth visits take place via the My BHS Patient Portal. If you are not signed up for My BHS Portal, click here.

Urgent Care is offered on demand and scheduled telehealth video visits from the comfort of your home or office. You will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, microphone, and speakers. Try to be in a quiet room with good lighting.

You can access your telehealth video visit through My BHS Health portal. If using a smartphone and you already have a portal account you can download the Meditech MHealth app and select “Butler Health System” in the provider list to log in.

If your provider recommends a Telehealth visit at a Butler Area facility, special equipment using high quality video and digital stethoscopes to hear heart and lung sounds will be used and a staff member will be with you throughout your visit.

A few tips to be prepared for your provider appointment:

  • Have questions prepared that you want to discuss with your provider

Routine medical appointments are an important part of managing your health. Telehealth visits are making it more convenient than ever to stay in touch with your physician and care team. Telemedicine, sometimes referred to as telehealth or virtual visits, offers an alternative to in-person appointments where patients can safely receive the medical attention they require from the comfort of home.

There are now 2 ways in which telehealth visits can be conducted:

  • Through the patient portal, Follow My Health. You must have a patient portal account to utilize the FMH telehealth option.
  • Through Doximity.

If you believe you, or a loved one, is experiencing chest pain, coughing or vomiting blood, difficulty breathing, severe headache or any other serious health issue go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 9-1-1.
